Tribute to David Mowbray

In Memory of our Friend, Colleague and fellow Carver David Mowbray, who passed away May 14th, 2026.

David was a cheerful and enthusiastic mason and carver. He was always willing to learn, which he did a lot, and he was always happy to share what he learned with anyone interested. He participated in our festival multiple years lending his time and talents to produce works of art that benefited the groups we supported. David worked extensively on the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and the craft itself. David's family have asked that those who would like to help support the operational costs of the 2026 Canadian Stone Carving Festival, make a contribution here in his honour.
